Material: Worsted-weight yarn (1 skein) Baby-weight yarn (1 skein)
Knitting Needles size 7 Stitch Guide (see diagram): Knit one Below (K1B): To knit one below insert the right-hand needle through the center of the stitch below the next stitch on the left-hand needle. Knit this in the usual way, drawing the loop through, then drop the stitch above off the needle. Instructions: With one strand of worsted-weight and one strand of baby-weight, cast on an odd number of stitches.
Foundation Row: Knit (note: this row is not repeated). Row 2 (right side): Sl 1, * K1B, p1; rep from * to end. (editor's note: I found that knitting the last stitch instead of purling gives a nicer edge.) Row 3: Sl 1, * p1, K1B; rep from * to last 2 sts, p1, k1. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until desired length. Finish off. This pattern is provided for the Snuggles Project (www.snugglesproject.org) and is for personal use only. Copyright Hugs for Homeless Animals (www.h4ha.org). All rights reserved.
