Materials: Flannel nightgown
Towel, Polar fleece, or other safe comfort layer
Thread - does not need to match

Determine size of Snuggle based on size of material left after removing the top and any unsafe decoration. To easily use a tab front, sew tab shut, remove buttons, and zigzag over buttonholes. Otherwise, make a seam along the front, then cut off tab and fabric, and finish seam with pinking, serging, or other low bulk seam treatment.

You will have a large flannel tube that may or may not have straight sides. Either fold extra fabric inside or to one side, seam and remove, or create a parallelogram Snuggle.

Method 1. (Nighty Night) Smooth comfort layer within the large flannel tube and quilt. Fold over raw edge of flannel twice and stitch securely with double row of straight stitching or zigzag (or serge edge).

Method 2. (Nighty Night-Night) Fold over raw edge of flannel twice and stitch securely with double row of stitching or zigzag (or serge edge). Back double layer of flannel with Polar fleece or toweling. Quilt securely.

Method 3. (Nighty Night-Night-Night) Square off flannel. Back with Polar fleece that is wider and longer than the flannel piece. Quilt securely. Fold over fleece layer to form binding. This is a good time to practice mitered corners. They do not need to be perfect. Finish edge of fleece securely with zigzag or double row of straight stitching.
