Materials
Worsted-weight acrylic yarn
Crochet hook size H (5.00 mm) or larger
Pattern Note
Instructions are written for color change on each row. When working variations in which same color is used for more than one row, sl st to next corner space instead of fastening off. To change colors within row, cut and join colors as needed. Knot strands when joining. To fasten off: cut length long, approx. 6 inches or more, use a tapestry needle to bring end strand to beginning strand and knot together and work remaining ends through work.

Caveat: While this pattern is a great pattern to teach crochet with, there is a problem with it if the holes created in the pattern are too large or your stitches are too loose. There is a concern for cats getting their claws caught too easily in the loose stitches and the holes do not allow much protection from the cold metal of the cages. Please use your discretion in using this pattern for making Snuggles.
